  • SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
  • We’re looking for a technical support engineer to carry out the methodological part of the manufacturing outsourced to suppliers in compliance with the rules and methods of the company: industrial performance, quality, safety, continuous improvement, internal regulations... You participate in the industrialization phases, you manage the costings, produce the ranges and nomenclatures, provide technical support to the suppliers in charge of manufacturing and you manage the potential non-conformities resulting from these manufacturing operations in conjunction with the buyer in charge of the case.

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • - Collect information for the development of the specifications (consultation and exploitation of the customer specifications, reference, index, supply of materials and components, reference documents, existing parent ranges, quality documents, plan, modeling, and 3D model) and ensure their compliance (verification of ratings, indices)
    - From the technical data collected, establish the costings of the products, and enter them into SAGE Write the manufacturing nomenclatures of new products and subcontracted manufacturing ranges Update existing documents.
    - Enter and update technical data via ERP (items, tools, documents, ranges, nomenclatures, equivalences)
    - Ensure the optimization of the tools integrated into ERP and the integrity of the input data.
    - Participate in manufacturing monitoring in conjunction with the buyer in charge of the file.
    - In application of the company's quality policy, implement the documents / records following changes, ensure configuration management to guarantee the control and application of it.
    - Ensure external technical relations (customers or suppliers) and provide technical support to suppliers (development of documentation, configuration management, implementation of special processes)
    - Ensure the management of "deviations requests" during manufacturing.

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • - Knowledge in principles of mechanics (sizing, dimensioning, geometric specification, subassembly, etc.)
    - Technical English (read, understand, and communicate)
    - Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAGE software.
    - Knowledge in the market and the market price
    - Knowledge in the suppliers and their performance
    - Knowledge the principles of costing and cost estimation methods
    - Knowledge of the requirements related to quality and aeronautical standards (ISO 9001, EN 9100 ...)
    - Knowledge the principles of profitability of the production tool: labor, material price, manufacturing price
    - Knowledge in the tools and methods related to design and industrialization (value analysis, FMECA ...)- Knowledge in principles of mechanics (sizing, dimensioning, geometric specification, subassembly, etc.)
    - Technical English (read, understand, and communicate)
    - Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAGE software.
    - Knowledge in the market and the market price
    - Knowledge in the suppliers and their performance
    - Knowledge the principles of costing and cost estimation methods
    - Knowledge of the requirements related to quality and aeronautical standards (ISO 9001, EN 9100 ...)
    - Knowledge the principles of profitability of the production tool: labor, material price, manufacturing price
    - Knowledge in the tools and methods related to design and industrialization (value analysis, FMECA ...)
    - Knowledge of the characteristics of materials (mechanical properties, etc.)
    - Knowledge of the methods of manufacturing, assembly, and development of mechanical systems.

  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
    - Minimum of 2-4 years of Purchasing related experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to
    perform the above-mentioned tasks.
    - Bilingual (English-French or English-Spanish)
    - Experience in Machine shop environment.

    Three (3) years of relevant experience.
