- PRIMARY ACTIVITIES
• Reception and registration of tooling to be serviced
• Provide service and customer support in-house, during field visits or dispatches with tact and courtesy
• Responsible for quality on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, reparation, modification and test tasks at customers’ sites
• Assess errors or problems based on technical expertise in accordance with drawings and technical specifications, rendering appropriate solutions
• Practise continuous improvement by keeping up-to-date knowledge of new products/services, equipment modifications/maintenance/reparation and related technical information
• Take initiative to promote organisation’s products/services while performing field visits or dispatches
• Conduct technical training for internal and external customers
• Verifying, by visual and technical inspection, incoming goods in accordance to purchase order specifications and conformance with refining practices which requires positive material identification, testing and measuring, etc.
• Tagging all incoming material required for inspection and locating
• Assist with general logistical arrangement, documentation and filing
• Pick requested stock material via electronic pick lists or verbal, emergency requests and delivering to specified areas manually, in accordance to weight/body limitations, order picker, or forklift
• Packaging of stock and non-stock material in accordance to specified procedures in preparation of shipping
• Assist in the planning, implementation and improvement of the warehouse and logistics operations
• Storage and filing of all paperwork associated with operational responsibilities- CROSS DEPARTMENTAL LIAISON
Liaise closely with Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain department on product improvement and customers’ feedback
- BUSINESS TRAVEL AND REPORTING
• Some business travel will be expected to fulfil the Technician role.
• A Visit Report must be completed and sent to all relevant parties in a timely manner- Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA
