We are experts in tooling services as well as ground support equipment for the aerospace industry: engineering, repair, calibration, upgrade, load testing, leasing, stock and training.

products and services through our integrated Supply Chain: Engineering, Production, Assembly and Customer Support.

The Sourcing Leader position will need to have prior aviation industry experience to be considered for this role. The Sourcing Leader role is responsible for the sourcing and supply chain activities of the America’s sites. Must have a strong mechanical and technical negotiation skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Development of supply chain network (new and existing)
  • Work with supply chain partner to deliver annual cost savings from our tool products. Through these activities, the SL will ensure ,we are delivering quality products manufacture at the best cost to the exact specs that meet our product standards and customer expectations
  • Focus on supplier relationships and include project management and execution
  • Accountable for managing manufacturing cycles of mechanical components
  • Duties will include supplier assessment and selection, and product manufacturing/costing experience
  • This position will execute events across multiple categories and is a key position in delivering cost savings targets
  • Will need to network across our company and build strong relationships with stakeholders and develop sourcing strategies which help support their business
  • Identify opportunities for competitive bidding
  • Will need to ensure compliance with FAA and customer certifications, including maintenance transportation, engineering, inspection and quality standards
  • Responsibilities will include determining feasibility and method of maintaining, repairing or replacing components
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in aviation tooling procurement and sourcing
  • Ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets, distill key insights into action, and create compelling business recommendations
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft and turbine engine technical publications (blueprints, EM’s, IPC’s, etc.)
  • Mechanical component knowledge for troubleshooting, repair and replacement of tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, etc.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and/or warehousing management information systems
  • Develops, maintains, evaluates, and manages tooling logistics programs including coordination for operations, planning, maintenance and dispatching
  • Performs logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support multiple tools
  • Assist with property, facilities, equipment, supplies, and services management
  • Knowledge of planning, programming, budgeting and executing of logistics programs
COMPETENCIES
  • College degree required. Preference in Supply Management / Industrial Engineering
  • Experience in the aviation tooling industry is required
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate between multiple parties in a high-tempo environment
  • Able to read and interpreting maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other OEM technical publications
  • Communication Proficiency
  • Technical Capacity and the ability to provide technical guidance
  • Business Acumen

  • Collaborative, articulate, calm and resourceful
  • Presentation and Organization Skills
  • Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required
