    We are looking for an experienced and motivated Quality Control & Metrology Manager to join our team. The QC & Metrology Manager role is responsible for developing, implementing and administering policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products. Responsible for the quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals). The position supervises a team of quality control inspectors. Build and maintain good relationships with vendors.

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
    • Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
    • Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams. Design, develop and implement quality control training programs
    • Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
    • Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
    • Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
    • Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
    • Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
    • Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • • Ability to read and understand mechanical technical drawings
    • Knowledge in metrology, experience working with calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc...
    • Knowledge of GD&T set of tools
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • COMPETENCIES
  • • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering or related field
    • 5 years of experience in Quality Control functions in a manufacturing environment
    • Must have experience working in industrial and mechanical environment
    • Experience working with Aerospace Systems
    • Experience working with Faro Arm
    • Experience working with Zeiss CMM – Calypso Software
    • Technical Capacity and the ability to provide technical guidance.
    • Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office
